A small plant. A big question.
Our Junior Farm-to-Home STEM experience uses green onion regrowth to help learners observe, measure, and explain living changes. Plant-and-water activities can stand alone; a living-fish experience requires a separately arranged, supervised setup and appropriate animal care.
Learning that grows with the learner

- Early years and elementary: identify roots and shoots, draw changes, count, compare, and build vocabulary.
- Middle school: measure growth, graph observations, and explore water quality and system relationships.
- High school and CTE: connect biology, environmental science, coding, food safety, and agricultural careers.
- College and technical programs: explore nitrogen cycling, sensors, system design, and applied projects through partnerships.
- Families, homeschool groups, and exceptional learners: use flexible routines and activities adapted to communication, mobility, reading, and sensory needs.
Start an observation journal
- Record the date, starting shoot height, and what you can see.
- Draw roots and shoots. Note water level, light, and changes.
- Measure consistently and compare your observations over several days.
- Ask what changed, what might explain it, and what evidence supports your answer.
Smart Farm Data Lab
Our developing farm-learning program connects water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, flow, greenhouse conditions, and crop records with data literacy. Learners explore trends and human-reviewed AI assistance. Trained people remain responsible for farm decisions and animal care.
Field experiences and water stewardship
Planned farm visits connect aquaponics, crops, sensors, food safety, and careers. Pond stewardship experiences explore habitat, water observations, and conservation as a separate learning environment. Our team confirms readiness, accessibility, group arrangements, and scheduling before a visit.
Your location is a starting point
Wherever your school or community is located, reach out. Tell us your location, age group, number of learners, and goals so we can discuss kit availability, shipping, and the right format.
